Composition

1 tablet (0.5 g) contains active ingredients (mg): powder of lanceolate thermopsis herb - 6.7;

dry extract of licorice root - 100;

sodium bicarbonate - 360.

Pharmacological properties

Licorice root extract has an expectorant, anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic effect. Expectorant properties are due to glycyrrhizin, which stimulates the activity of the ciliated epithelium in the trachea and bronchi, enhances the secretory function of the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract. Flavonoid compounds (liquiritoside) have an antispasmodic effect on smooth muscles. The anti-inflammatory effect consists in slowing down the synthesis of histamine, serotonin and bradykinin. Glycyrrhizic acid, undergoing metabolic transformations in the body, has an effect similar to a glucocorticosteroid.

The herb of Thermopsis lanceolata contains isoquinoline alkaloids that stimulate the respiratory and vomiting centers; have a pronounced expectorant effect, increase the secretory function of the bronchi, enhance the activity of the ciliated epithelium and accelerate the removal of sputum, increase the tone of the smooth muscles of the bronchi due to the central vagotropic effect. Biologically active substances contained in the plant have ganglionic blocking properties.

Sodium bicarbonate liquefies sputum in the bronchi and shifts its pH to the alkaline side, stimulates the motor function of the ciliated epithelium and bronchioles.

Application

Expectorant and antitussive agent.

Dosage

Administer orally 2-3 times a day until symptoms disappear in single doses:

Large breed dogs

2 tablets

Medium breed dogs

1 tablet

Small breed dogs

1/2 tablet

Adult cats

1/2 tablet

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Do not use in animals with difficulty breathing, cough with an asthmatic component.

Do not use in young (under three months), pregnant and lactating animals.

Storage

In a dry, dark place inaccessible to children and animals at a temperature of 0 to 250C and a relative humidity of no more than 75%.

Shelf life - 2 years.
