🐕 ALIZIN 10 ml🐈
1 ml: Aglepristone 30 mg
🚑 Used to terminate unwanted pregnancy in pets for up to 45 days after accidental mating.
Alizin is also used to treat abscesses in dogs and cats without surgery.
🟢 DOSAGE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION:
Alizin is used after the end of the estrous period in female cats and dogs.
Subcutaneous administration.
🔹 Administer 0.33 ml of Alizin per 1 kg of body weight twice with an interval of 24 hours.
⚠️Alizin Dawki volumes exceeding 5 ml should be administered at different times.
⚠️Discontinuation of medication:
🔹for dogs - 0-45 days of puppyhood. The effectiveness of the drug is 99% (when used up to day 25) and 96% (when used up to day 45).
🔹for cats - 7-8 days after mating.
After the injection, the injection site should be lightly massaged. If the volume of the injected solution exceeds 5 ml, the drug should be administered at several points. Miscarriage (or fetal resorption) occurs within 7 days after the administration of Allizin.
After application, a follow-up visit is required for examination and confirmation of abortion using ultrasound. In case of abortion in the early stages - 20 days after the end of treatment, in the middle stages - after 8 days. In case of incomplete abortion, treatment (2 injections of Alizin at a dose of 0.33 ml / kg / day with an interval of 24 hours) can be repeated after 10 days, between the 30th and 45th day of pregnancy.
After the administration of the drug, the subsequent estrus proceeds according to the physiological norm, ensuring a calm course of pregnancy and childbirth.
⚠️SIDE EFFECTS:
In case of increased individual sensitivity, allergic reactions are possible in animals. After the administration of Allisin, local inflammation and pain at the injection site may occur. In bitches treated after the twentieth day of pregnancy, abortion may be accompanied by symptoms of physiological labor, i.e. expulsion of the fetus, slight loss of appetite and milk stagnation.
⚠️SIGNS:
Individual increased sensitivity of the animal to aglepristone. This drug should not be used in dogs with impaired liver, kidney or adrenal function, as well as in patients with diabetes mellitus.
🟢 PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES:
Pharmacological group: hormones and their antagonists.
Aglepristone, which is part of Allisin, is a synthetic steroid that is an antagonist of progesterone. Aglepristone blocks progesterone receptors in the uterus, interfering with the normal physiological process of maintaining pregnancy in bitches, leading to miscarriage or fetal resorption. The binding affinity of aglepristone for progesterone receptors in the uterus in dogs is 3 times higher than that of progesterone.
Aglepristone does not alter plasma concentrations of progesterone, prostaglandins, oxytocin or cortisol for 24 hours after administration, but promotes the release of prolactin for 12 hours after injection. Peak concentrations of aglepristone are detected in the blood 2.5 days after administration. Aglepristone is biotransformed in the liver and excreted from the body primarily in the feces. 🟡 Storage conditions:
Alizin® is stored in the manufacturer's sealed packaging, in a dry, dark place, inaccessible to children and animals, separately from food and feed, at a temperature of 15°C to 25°C.
