🐕 AMOXICILLIN LA🐈 15% LA (long-acting) This is a bestseller in the first aid kit for breeding cats and dogs! 🚑 Indicated for dogs and cats for the treatment of bacterial infections of the gastrointestinal tract (including enteritis, gastroenteritis, gastroenteritis), respiratory diseases (including bronchitis, bronchopneumonia, rhinitis), surgical diseases (including wounds, surgical diseases (including wounds, abscesses) , arthritis), diseases of the urogenital system (metritis, endometritis, cystitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis), diseases of the skin and soft tissues (including umbilical infections), as well as complications caused by microorganisms sensitive to amoxicillin Long-acting antibacterial drug containing 150 mg of amoxicillin as an active ingredient per ml in the form of a trihydrate and an oil carrier. Available in the form of a sterile white suspension for injection in dark glass bottles of 10 ml, 50 ml and 100 ml. Amoxicillin is a semi-synthetic antibiotic from the penicillin group. It has a broad spectrum of bactericidal activity against gram-positive bacteria (Actinomyces spp., Bacillus anthracis, Clostridium spp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Listeria monocytogenes, Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp.) and gram-negative microorganisms (Actinobacillus spp., Bordetella bronchiseptica, E. coli, Salmonella spp., Fusobacterium spp., Haemophilus spp., Moraxella spp., Proteus mirabilis). The drug does not act on penicillin-producing strains of microorganisms of the genera Klebsiella, Enterobacter and Pseudomonas. Amoxicillin disrupts the synthesis of the bacterial cell membrane by inhibiting the enzymes transpeptidase and carboxypeptidase, causing an osmotic imbalance that leads to the death of bacteria in the growth phase. The oily excipient contained in the drug gradually releases micronized amoxicillin into the blood, thereby ensuring a prolonged effect of the antibiotic. When administered parenterally, amoxicillin 15% is well absorbed into the blood from the injection site and quickly distributed throughout the body, reaching the highest concentration in muscle tissue, liver, kidneys and gastrointestinal tract due to low binding to plasma proteins (17 – 20 %). Amoxicillin hardly penetrates into the brain and bone fluid, except in cases of meningitis. The maximum plasma concentration is reached 1-2 hours after administration of the drug and remains at a therapeutic level for 48 hours. Amoxicillin is practically not metabolized. Excretion occurs mainly in the urine and to a lesser extent in milk and bile. 🟢 Dosage and method of administration: 🔹 Amoxicillin 15% is administered to animals intramuscularly or subcutaneously at a dose of 1 ml per 10 kg of the animal's body weight (15 mg of active substance per 1 kg of body weight). If necessary, the drug can be administered again within 48 hours. In animals with renal failure, it is recommended to check the exact dosage of the drug. Before use, the contents of the bottle should be shaken thoroughly to obtain a homogeneous suspension. ⚠ To administer the Amoxicillin suspension, use only dry, sterile syringes and needles (with an internal diameter of at least 0.5 mm). If the administered dose exceeds 20 ml, it is recommended to administer it in several injections at different sites. After administration of Amoxicillin 15%, it is recommended to gently massage the injection site. Side effects: Animals may experience allergic reactions to amoxicillin, which quickly disappear after discontinuation of the drug. Poisoning from an overdose is almost impossible. If allergic reactions occur, it is recommended to give animals corticosteroids and adrenaline. ⚠ Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to amoxicillin and other penicillins. Intravenous administration is prohibited. Do not use in rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs or gerbils. Amoxicillin should not be mixed with other drugs in the same syringe and should not be used simultaneously with bacteriostatic chemotherapy drugs. The drug should not be used for infections caused by bacteria that produce penicillinase. Storage conditions: With caution. Store in a dry place, protected from light and inaccessible to children, at a temperature of 5 to 20 °C. Shelf life - 3 years
