Brovanol M, 10 tabs
Description:
The tablets are flat, cylindrical with beveled edges, with a notch for division on one side and the manufacturer's logo on the other, yellow in color with a faint characteristic odor.
Composition:
One tablet (1 g) of Brovanol®-M contains: niclosamide - 92 mg; oxibendazole - 12 mg; levamisole hydrochloride - 16 mg.
Pharmacological action:
The drug has the combined pharmacological properties of three components, which provide a wide range of antiparasitic action, namely:
niclosamide, when administered orally, is not absorbed from the digestive tract and, upon contact with tapeworms, inhibits oxidative-phosphorolytic processes, leading to weakening and rapid death of scolexes and segments of parasites, which are partially digested and excreted;
oxybendazole disrupts the metabolism of glucides in nematodes, blocking the formation of ATP, which causes paralysis and death of parasites at all stages of development within a few hours after administration.
levamisole enhances the nematocidal effect of oxybendazole, is an effective immunomodulator and, with subsequent vaccination, promotes the formation of a high level of post-vaccination immunity. Application:
For dogs and cats for the treatment and prevention of mixed invasions caused by larval and adult helminths of the gastrointestinal tract: ancylostomiasis (Ancylostoma caninum), dipylidiosis (Dipylidium caninum), diphyllobothriasis (Diphyllobothrium latum, D. minus), toxocariasis (Toxocara canis, T. cati), toxascariasis (Toxascaris leonina), trichuriasis (Trichocephalus vulpis and T. nutpia), taeniasis (Taenia hydatigena, T. multiceps), uncinariasis (Uncinaria stenocеphala), and some others.
If dogs are diagnosed with ectoparasites (fleas, lice, ticks) at the same time as helminthiasis, then Brovanol®-plus should be used instead of Brovanol®-M.
Dosage:
For puppies and kittens: one Brovanol®-M tablet per 4 kg. The specified dose should be divided in half and given at daily intervals.
The first deworming of puppies is carried out on the eve of vaccination at the age of 4-5 weeks, for kittens - at the age of 6 weeks. In the future, it is advisable to carry out prophylaxis in the specified doses every 3-4 months.
Contraindications:
Intestinal atony.
Precautions:
Do not exceed the specified doses. In a small number of animals with severe invasion due to intoxication with digested parts of helminths, urticaria and itching in the rectum, anxiety, diarrhea, vomiting may occur. All these signs quickly disappear without special intervention.
Release form:
Blisters of 10 tablets or plastic containers of 100 and 1000 tablets.
Storage:
In a dry, dark place at a temperature of up to 25 °C.
