Brovaseptol in tabs
Flat cylindrical tablets with beveled edges, with a notch for division on one side and the manufacturer's logo on the other, light yellow.
Composition
1 tablet (1 g) contains active ingredients:
sodium norsulfazole - 80 mg;
sulgin - 70 mg;
trimerim - 30 mg;
oxytetracycline hydrochloride - 45 mg;
tylosin tartrate - 25 mg.
Pharmacological properties
Brovaseptol® is a complex drug with a wide spectrum of bactericidal and bacteriostatic action.
Tylosin tartrate is a macrolide antibiotic. It is effective against gram-positive and some gram-negative microorganisms (Corynebacterium spp., Clostridium spp., Erysipelothrix spp., Pasteurella spp., Vibrio spp., Leptospira spp., Brucella spp., Neisseria spp., Haemophilus spp., rickettsia (Rickettsia spp.), spirochetes (Spirochaeta (Borrelia anserine, Brachyspirahyodysenteriae)), as well as against mycoplasmas (M. gallisepticum, M. synoviae, M. meleagridis, etc.). Tylosin tartrate exhibits bacteriostatic action by inhibiting protein synthesis (due to irreversible binding to the 50S subunits of bacterial ribosomes), microbial cell growth and reproduction. respectively.
Norsulfazole is an antimicrobial bacteriostatic agent. It is active against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms: Escherichia coli, Shigella spp., Klebsiella spp., Vibrio cholerae, Clostridium perfringens, Bacillus anthracis, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, Yersinia pestis, Chlamydia spp., Actinomyces israelii, Toxoplasma gondii.
Sulgin is an antimicrobial bacteriostatic agent, a sulfanilamide. The mechanism of action is due to antagonism with PABA and competitive inhibition of dihydropteroate synthetase, which leads to disruption of the synthesis of tetrahydrofolic acid, which is necessary for the synthesis of purines and pyrimidines. Inhibits the growth of E. coli and reduces the synthesis of thiamine, riboflavin, nicotinic acid, etc. in the intestine.
Oxytetracycline is a bacteriostatic antibiotic, the mechanism of action of which is to disrupt protein synthesis during its interaction with ribosomes, as well as to reduce the permeability of the cytoplasmic membrane of sensitive microorganisms. The drug has a broad spectrum of action on gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms: Streptococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Corynebacterium spp., Brucella spp., Haemophilus spp., E. coli, Pasteurella spp., Klebsiella spp., Erysipelothrix spp., Fusobacterium spp., Salmonella spp., and also affects parasitic protozoa (Protozoa), mycoplasma (Mycoplasma spp.), rickettsia (Rickettsia spp.) and chlamydia (Chlamydia).
Trimetho-rim is a chemotherapeutic drug with a bactericidal effect against gram-positive (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Corynebacterium spp. and others) and gram-negative (E. coli, Salmonella spp., Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp., Pasteurelia spp., Bordetella spp. etc.) microorganisms. It inhibits bacterial reductase, which converts dihydrofolic acid into tetrahydrofolic acid, which is necessary for the synthesis of purines and nucleic acids. As a result, trime-prim blocks one of the main processes of bacterial metabolism on the protein synthesis pathway.
Application
Treatment of animals and poultry with diseases of the digestive tract, respiratory organs and genitourinary system, namely:
Calves with gastroenteritis, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis, vibriosis caused by microorganisms sensitive to the components of the drug;
Pigs with enzootic pneumonia, arthritis, dysentery, edema disease, erysipelas, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis caused by microorganisms sensitive to the components of the drug;
Sheep with septicemia, eimeriosis, infectious agalactia caused by microorganisms sensitive to the components of the drug;
Poultry (chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese) suffering from typhoid, cholera, salmonellosis, mycoplasmosis, rhinitis caused by microorganisms sensitive to the components of the drug.
Dosage
Orally with dry or wet food, pre-crush the tablets. For all types of animals, the daily dose of the drug is 1-1.5 g (1-1.5 tablets) per 10 kg of body weight. The daily dose is given in two doses. On the first day of use, the dose of Brovaseptol® is increased by 30-100%. The course of treatment is 4-5 days, until the symptoms of the disease completely disappear. Otherwise, treatment can be extended for 1-2 days.
Contraindications
Do not use for the treatment of animals with hypersensitivity to norsulfazole, tylosin, oxytetracycline, sulgin, trim-rim, as well as animals with liver and kidney diseases. Do not use for the treatment of dairy cows whose milk is used for human consumption and laying hens whose eggs are used for human consumption.
Precautions
Slaughter of animals and poultry for meat is allowed 8 days after the last use of the drug. Meat obtained before the specified period is disposed of or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the doctor's conclusion.
