Instructions for use of Brosposystol for injection (3.3 g) Brapharma
Description:
Homogeneous powder of light yellow color with a weak specific smell, complete with a bottle of sterile solvent (0.9% sodium chloride solution).
Storage:
1 ml of the drug (ready-made injection solution) contains active substances:
sulfadimethoxine sodium salt 100 mg,
sodium salt of sulfadiazine — 100 mg,
trimethoprim — 40 mg.
The solvent is a 0.9% sodium chloride solution.
Pharmacological properties:
The mechanism of action of sulfonamides and trimethoprim consists in blocking two different stages of folic acid biosynthesis. This leads to suppression of the growth of bacteria, cessation of their reproduction and death.
The combination of two sulfonylamines and a derivative of diaminopyrimidine (trimethoprim) gives a synergistic effect that expands the antimicrobial spectrum of the drug. Brosestol® for injections is active against gram-positive (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Corynebacterium spp., etc.) and gram-negative microorganisms (E. coli, Salmonella spp., Klebsilap., Prote spp. Papp. Paurella spp., Bordetella spp., etc.). Some types of protozoa (Pneumocystis corini, Coccidia and Toxoplasma) are sensitive to the drug. The combination of sulfonamides and trimethoprim reduces the likelihood of the appearance of gummy forms of pathogenic microflora.
Indication:
Treatment of cattle, sheep, goats, Morocco, dogs, cats, rabbits and poultry in case of diseases of bacterial etiology:
respiratory organs (angina, tracheitis, pharyngitis, bronchopneumonia, pleurisy);
organs of digestion (gastroenteritis, dyspepsia, colibacteriosis);
urinary organs (pypsis, cystitis, pyelitis, urethritis, endometritis);
mastitis;
specific infections (actinomycosis, dysentery, diplocosis, erysipelas, enterotoxemia, eimeriosis, pasteurellosis, pulorosis, edematous disease, respiratory mycoplasmosis, salmonellosis), as well as postoperative complications.
Doses and method of application:
Intramuscularly in a dose:
cattle, sheep, pigs, dogs of large breeds — 0.6-0.8 ml per 10 kg/m.t.;
dogs of medium and small breeds, cats — 0.10-0.15 ml per 1 kg/m.t.;
birds, rabbits: intramuscularly — 0.1 ml/kg m., or orally with water — 1 ml per 1 liter of water.
Young and small animals should be injected into one injection site - no more than 10 ml, and adult animals - 20 ml of the drug.
In all cases of using BrameStol®, the first dose of the drug should be increased by 30-100% (depending on the course of the disease). The drug is administered 1-2 times with an interval of 24-36 hours.
Contraindication:
Increased sensitivity to the components of the drug.
Reservation:
Do not use novocaine solution for dilution.
Animals and poultry can be slaughtered for meat 10 days after the last use of the drug. People are allowed to eat eggs and milk 4 days after the last use of the drug. By the specified term, meat, milk and eggs are fed to non-productive animals or disposed of (depending on tire removal).
Goats have increased sensitivity to sulfonamides, so the solution of the drug should be given to them with special care.
