Pharmacological properties
Burdi eye drops are ophthalmological combined antibacterial drugs. Levomycetin is active against most gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, some large viruses; acts on bacterial strains resistant to penicillin, streptomycin and sulfonamides. Furacilin has a bacteriostatic and bactericidal effect against a wide range of pathogenic gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms.
Recommendations for use
Burdi eye drops are prescribed to dogs, cats and rabbits for prophylactic and therapeutic purposes for acute and chronic conjunctivitis, keratitis, keratoconjunctivitis, blepharitis, as well as for the prevention of infectious eye diseases after injuries and the ingress of foreign objects.
Method of administration and dosage
During treatment, preliminary hygienic treatment of the eyes with a sterile gauze napkin moistened with the drug is necessary. Then the drug is instilled into the conjunctival cavity 1-2 drops 4-5 times a day for 7-14 days. If necessary, the course of treatment is repeated. For prophylactic purposes, hygienic treatment of the eyes is carried out once a day.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to chloramphenicol or furacilin.
Warning
In case of increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the active components, the use of the drug is discontinued.
Release form
Burdi eye drops are available in 10 ml polymer dropper bottles, packed one by one in a cardboard box.
Storage conditions
Store in the manufacturer's sealed packaging, protected from direct sunlight, out of reach of children and animals, separate from food and feed, at a temperature of 0 °C to 25 °C.
Shelf life is 1 year from the date of manufacture.
