Calcium takes an active part in the formation of bone tissue as part of hydroxyapatite crystals. With insufficient calcium and phosphorus intake, bones become soft, their growth is impaired, rickets develops in young animals and osteodystrophy in adult animals. Calcium is necessary to maintain the functions of the nervous system: calcium ions stimulate the release of acetylcholine and its interaction with acetylcholine receptors, promote the interaction of actin and myosin, i.e. the contraction of muscle fibers. In the smooth muscle cells of the myocardium and the conduction system of the heart, calcium ions take direct part in the generation of nerve impulses, normalize the tone of the myocardium and enhance the contraction of the heart. Calcium is involved in blood clotting, stimulates the conversion of prothrombin into thrombin and fibrinogen into fibrin, the transport function of cell membranes. By reducing the permeability of the capillary walls, it has an anti-inflammatory, anti-exudative, anti-allergic and anti-sensitizing effect, restores the balance between monovalent and divalent cations. Phosphorus is one of the structural elements of the body. All synthetic processes associated with growth and formation of products (skeletal formation, increase in muscle mass, milk synthesis) are carried out with the participation of phosphoric acid compounds. Phosphorus is part of the structure of nucleic acids, which are carriers of genetic information, regulate protein biosynthesis and immunity. Phosphorus is necessary for phosphorylation and oxidation of important substrates in metabolic processes. Phosphorus-macroergic compounds, including ATP (adenosine triphosphate), are universal batteries and energy donors.

Magnesium is necessary for bone formation, is part of hydroxyapatite crystals, thereby increasing the strength of bones and teeth. Magnesium affects the central nervous system: accelerating the breakdown of acetylcholine, it suppresses the excitability of nerve endings. Together with calcium, it is involved in muscle contraction. Magnesium, like potassium, is the main cation of the intracellular environment. In cells, it activates enzymes of the Krebs cycle and nucleic acids.

INDICATIONS
Treatment of cows with postpartum hypocalcemia and hypophosphatemia, postpartum paresis, grass tetany (hypomagnesemia), as well as treatment of various types of rickets in young animals, and in adult animals - osteodystrophy, allergies of various etiologies, hemorrhagic diathesis, hemorrhagic anemia, postpartum hemoglobinuria and myoglobinuria.

The drug is effective during postpartum paresis and postpartum hypophosphatemia, in case of sodium chloride poisoning, subinvolution of the uterus, fractures and bone injuries. In dogs, the drug is used to treat eclampsia.

The drug is used to prevent postpartum hypocalcemia and hypophosphatemia 12-24 hours before parturition and on the first and second days after parturition.

If necessary, the dose can be repeated after 24 hours.

The drug is administered slowly, preheated to 35–37 °C.

SIDE EFFECTS
Irritation may occur at the injection site.

Tachycardia and agitation may occur.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
The drug should not be used in cases of hypercalcemia, severe renal dysfunction, increased nervous excitability, ventricular fibrillation, or hypersensitivity to the components.

PRECAUTIONS
For large animals, no more than 50 ml is administered subcutaneously in the same place, and no more than 25 ml intramuscularly. Pigs, sheep and goats: intramuscularly in the same place no more than 15 ml.

The drug should be used with special caution in animals with heart and kidney diseases.

Intravenous injection should be done slowly to avoid arrhythmia and heart block!

With intramuscular or subcutaneous injection, this risk is significantly lower.

HOW IT IS SUPPLIED
Neutral glass vials of 10 ml, 20 ml, 50 ml; 100 ml; and 200 ml, closed with a rubber stopper and sealed with an aluminum cap. Secondary packaging: cardboard boxes.

STORAGE
In a dry, dark place at a temperature of 5 to 25 ° C.

Shelf life is 2 years.

After opening the vial, the drug should be used in within 28 days, subject to aseptic conditions and storage in a dark place at a temperature of 10°C to 15°C.
