DOGS, CATS:
intramuscularly at a dose of 1 ml of the drug per 10 kg of body weight once a day for 3-5 days.
Each subsequent injection should be performed on the opposite side of the animal's body.

⚠ CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not use in animals with hypersensitivity to cephalosporins or beta-lactam antibiotics or to the components of the drug, as well as in the case of known pathogen resistance to the active substance of the drug.
Do not use concurrently with tetracyclines, macrolides, chloramphenicol and lincosamides.
Do not use prophylactically in the case of retained placenta.
Do not use in animals with impaired renal function.
⚠ WARNING:
The use of the drug should be based on the sensitivity of microorganisms to ceftiofur and take into account local recommendations.
The safety of ceftiofur during pregnancy and lactation in the target species has not been established. It should only be used after a benefit-risk assessment by the responsible veterinarian.
Shake the vial thoroughly before use.
Injections should be performed in a different part of the animal's body each time.
Do not administer intravenously.
Pain and temporary swelling are possible at the injection sites.

🟣 PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES:
🔹 Ceftiofur is an antibiotic from the third-generation cephalosporin group. It has a broad spectrum of action, is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including strains producing β-lactamases and some anaerobes, including: Pasteurella (Mannheimia) haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Haemophilius somnus, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Haemophilius parasuis, Salmonella cholerasuis, Streptococcus suis Streptococcus zooepidemicus Streptococcus equi Pasteurella spp. Staphylococcus spp. Actynomyces pyogenes Salmonella typhimurium Streptococcus agalactiae Streptococcus dysgalactiae Streptococcus bovis Klebsiela spp. Citrobacter spp., Fusobacterium ogenicecrophorum and Porphyromonas (asaccharolytices mea). The mechanism of ceftiofur's bactericidal action is based on the inhibition of the functional activity of bacterial enzymes transpeptidases and carboxypeptidase, which are involved in the binding of the main component of the microbial cell wall - peptidoglycan, which leads to disruption of the osmotic balance and destruction of the bacterial cell. 🔹 Ceftiofur after parenteral administration is metabolized to form desfuroylceftiofur, which has an effect equivalent to ceftiofur against bacteria. This metabolite re-binds to plasma proteins and accumulates in the inflammatory focus. Ceftiofur and its metabolites are excreted from the animal's body mainly in urine and to a lesser extent in bile.
