🚑 Every cattery owner should have this medicine in their home veterinary medicine cabinet, which is intended to provide first aid to the cat.
Enterosgel is recommended to be taken in the following cases:
🔹 the cat shows symptoms of sudden diarrhea as a result of swallowing spoiled food or for another unspecified reason;
🔹 the kitten experiences indigestion due to unusual eating or eating food from the owner's table;
🔹 severe poisoning of the cat, accompanied by prolonged diarrhea and vomiting caused by long-term exposure to chemical toxic substances (petroleum products, varnishes, pesticides, etc.);
🔹 toxic effects caused by a bacterial or fungal infection in the animal's body;
🔹 negative effects of long-term use of drugs prescribed for the treatment of any disease;
🔹 dysbacteriosis that appeared after antibiotic treatment;
🔹 side effects of fighting internal parasites, when a large number of dead worms accumulate in the cat's body;
🔹 allergic reaction of established or unknown etiology;
🔹 chronic diseases of internal organs (liver, kidneys).
🔹 skin inflammations, including burns, accompanied by general poisoning of the body;
🔹 radioactive damage;
METHOD OF USE AND DOSAGE:
The drug is administered to a cat, dog an hour or two before eating or taking other medications. After introducing the paste, the animal should be provided with access to drinking water.
For therapeutic and prophylactic purposes, the following dose of the drug is recommended:
🔹 For dogs weighing up to 4 kg - 1 teaspoon. twice a day, from 4 kg to 15 kg - 2 teaspoons. twice a day, from 15 kg to 50 kg - 1 tablespoon. twice a day over 50 kg - 1.5 tablespoons. twice a day.
🔹 For adult cats or kittens weighing up to 2 kg - 1 teaspoon. 2 times a day weighing more than 2 kg - the dose should be doubled.
The medicinal paste can be mixed with food or dissolved in drinking water. If the animal refuses to take the medicine, more drastic measures should be taken. The recommended dose should be diluted with a triple volume of drinking water and poured into the animal's mouth using a disposable medical syringe without a needle.

If poisoning is accompanied by particularly severe symptoms, the daily dose of the drug can be doubled to three days. In severe poisoning, the drug is administered to the cat every hour or immediately after the animal empties its intestines. A similar regimen should be followed on the first day, and then switch to four injections of the drug per day. The total duration of treatment is two to three weeks, until the final disappearance of the symptoms of the disease. If necessary, the veterinarian may prescribe a second course of therapy.
⚠ Contraindications to use:
The drug is not prescribed to animals suffering from atony or obstruction of the gastrointestinal tract, with individual intolerance to the drug, suspected peritonitis or perforation of the mucous membrane. Pregnant and lactating women receive medication without restrictions.

⚠ Side effects:
Sometimes animals experience constipation or nausea, and with complex liver or kidney failure, a categorical refusal to take the drug. In case of an overdose, there are no side effects. The drug can be used for complex treatment, in combination with other drugs, subject to the time interval between doses (2 hours).
Shelf life and storage:
The drug should be stored at normal temperature conditions (from + 5 ° С to + 30 ° С). After opening the package, the drug is suitable for use for up to three months. If the package is intact, the drug can be stored for up to 3 years.
Pharmacology:
The active substance is characterized by a porous structure in the form of a molecular sponge, which has a selective sorption effect on medium molecular weight narcotic drugs.

In veterinary medicine, the drug is administered to cleanse the stomach and intestines of animals from toxic substances and for general cleansing of the body. The structure of the polymethylsiloxane matrix reacts to medium-sized organic or inorganic toxic molecules without interfering with alkali metal salts or complex protein and carbohydrate compounds.
The drug effectively retains heavy metal salts, alcohols, as well as products of excretion of internal parasites living in the cat's body. In addition, polymethylsiloxane effectively neutralizes a number of substances that can disrupt the normal functioning of vital processes in the animal's body:
• cholesterol;
• lactic acid;
• urea;
• hepatic bilirubin.
The drug has a similar effect on most drugs entering the stomach, as well as on the decay products of these substances. Therefore, enterosgel should be taken separately from other drugs, with an interval of at least two hours. During this time, the drug will have time to assimilate in the body, otherwise enterosgel will have already fulfilled its function and will pass through the digestive tract. The drug itself is not absorbed into the circulatory system and is removed from the body together with the absorbed toxins within 10-12 hours.
