fluorfenicol - 2.5 g;
prednisolone acetate - 0.1 g.
Excipients: methylpyrrolidone, polyvinylpyrrolidone, ethyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, propylene glycol, glycerin, dimethyl sulfoxide.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
ATS VET CLASSIFICATION CODE QD06A - ANTIBIOTICS FOR LOCAL USE.
Fluorphenicol is a derivative of thiamphenicol, in which the hydroxyl group has been replaced by a fluorine atom, which determines its antibacterial effect on bacteria synthesizing acetyltransferase.
Fluorfenicol has a bacteriostatic effect on Gram-positive bacteria (Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp.) and Gram-negative bacteria (Fusobacterium necrophorum, Bacteroides melaninogenicus, Pasteurella spp., Salmonella spp., Proteus spp., Pseudomonas spp., Haemophilus spp.) as well as Mycoplasma spp., Rickettsia spp., Chlamydia spp.
Fluorfenicol inhibits protein synthesis in bacterial cells. In the protoplasm, it binds to the 70S ribosomal subunits, inhibits the enzymatic activity of peptidyl transferase, thereby inhibiting protein synthesis in the ribosomes of the appropriate bacteria.
Fluorfenicol applied externally acts locally and penetrates the circulatory system with difficulty. In animals, it is metabolized to the metabolite fluorophenicolamine. Fluorphenicol and its metabolites are excreted mainly in the urine, to a lesser extent in the feces.
Prednisolone is a synthetic glucocorticoid. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic and anti-exudative effects. The anti-inflammatory effect is due to inhibition of arachidonic acid metabolism and the release of inflammatory mediators.
When applied topically, prednisolone is absorbed, which enters the bloodstream. In the plasma, 90% of prednisolone is in a bound form (with transcortin and albumin). Biotransformirovatsya by oxidation mainly in the liver; oxidized forms undergo glucuronidation and sulfation. Excreted in the urine and feces as metabolites, partially unchanged.
DOSE
Before applying the drug, the affected area is thoroughly cleaned of exudate, necrotic tissue.
Shake the bottle beforehand and, holding it 5-10 cm from the surface of the damaged skin area, press the sprayer 1-2 times and apply to the surface for about 1 hour 5x5 cm.
It is necessary to use the drug every 12 hours until complete healing.
The duration of treatment depends on the extent of the lesion and the speed of healing.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Do not use in animals with hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Do not use simultaneously with thiamphenicol or chloramphenicol.
SIDE EFFECTS
Allergic reactions are possible with increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug.
WARNINGS
Do not allow the drug to get into the eyes of animals and people. Do not let the animal lick the drug for 5 minutes. Shake the vial with the drug before use.
