Description: Transparent colorless liquid.
Composition: 1 ml of solution contains the active substance: gentamicin sulfate - 40 mg.
Pharmacological action: Gentamicin acts bacteriostatically on some gram-positive and most gram-negative bacteria, including: enterobacteria (Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Snigella, Enterobacter aerogenes, Klebsiella, some species of Proteus and Serratia), Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pasteurella multocida, Staphilococcus aureus, Serpulina (Treponema) hyodysenteriae, Mycoplasma spp. Gentamicin inhibits protein synthesis in bacterial cells. Resistance to it develops slowly and very rarely. The maximum concentration of the drug in blood serum is noted one hour after intramuscular administration. The therapeutic concentration remains in the body from 8 to 12 hours. Gentamicin also penetrates into the pleural and abdominal cavities and through the placenta.
Application: Treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory and genitourinary systems, soft tissues and skin of bacterial etiology, bacteremia and sepsis, arthritis and polyarthritis in animals.
Dosage: Intramuscular in a dose: cattle - 0.5 ml of the drug per 10 kg of live weight twice a day; small animals - I - th day - 1.1 ml per 10 kg of live weight 2 times a day, in the following days - 1.1 ml per 10 kg of live weight once a day. Half of the recommended dose is used for newborn animals during the first days of life. Treatment is continued for 3 to 5 days.
Caution: Slaughter of animals for meat and use of milk are allowed after 45 and 3 days, respectively. Before the specified term, milk and meat are fed to unproductive animals or disposed of (depending on the opinion of the veterinarian). Pregnant animals are given the drug in cases of extreme necessity.
Contraindications: The drug is not used in case of hypersensitivity to gentamicin and impaired kidney function, as well as simultaneously with aminoglycoside (spectinomycin) and nephrotoxic (for example, polymyxin B, colistin, amphotericin, some cephalosporins) antibiotics, muscle relaxants and antistatics.

Storage: Dry, dark place at a temperature from +15°С to +25°С.
