Application:
🚑Therapeutic and prophylactic deworming of dogs and cats with roundworms and tapeworms:

Pharmacological properties:
ATC vet QP52A - anthelmintic veterinary drugs; veterinary drugs against flukes, against roundworms and anti-stestodes.
🍀 The drug Prafen® plus has a complex anthelmintic effect on roundworms and tapeworms. 🍀 Praziquantel, which is part of the drug, causes the death of tapeworms belonging to the genera Alveococcus, Echinococcus, Dipylidium, Taenia, Multiceps, Mesocestoides. 🍀 Fenbendazole causes the death of roundworms belonging to the genera GIARDIA (LAMBLIA), Tohosar, Toxascaris, Uncinaria, Ancylostoma, Trichuris and enhances the effect of praziquantel on tapeworms.
The simultaneous action of praziquantel and fenbendazole causes an anthelmintic effect on the predominant number of parasitic worms parasitizing carnivores.

🟣 Dosage recommendations:
1 tablet up to 10 kg irt.c., 2 tablets for 10 to 20 kg b.w., 3 tablets for 20 to 30 kg b.w., etc.
The product can be administered directly into the mouth or mixed with food. A diet is not required before administering the drug. However, it is recommended to avoid simultaneous administration of dairy products, due to the likelihood of intensification of the sporadically occurring side effect, which is vomiting.

⚠️ Contraindications and warnings
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients.
Due to the possibility of infection with roundworms via the intrauterine and lactogenic route, it is advisable to deworm puppies and kittens after they are 3 weeks old.
It is recommended to pay attention to the control of fleas in order to reduce the frequency of invasions and the risk of re-infection with Dipylidium caninum.
Due to the risk of infection with Echinococcus spp., persons administering this veterinary medicinal product should exercise special caution and personal protective equipment.
Adverse reactions:
In treated animals, vomiting and diarrhea of ​​mild intensity may sometimes occur in connection with deworming.
Use during pregnancy, lactation:
Do not use in pregnant bitches up to day 39 of pregnancy. The product can be used for treatment in pregnant bitches in the last trimester of pregnancy. In rare cases, the teratogenic effect of oxfendazole - one of the metabolites of fenbendazole - cannot be completely ruled out. The product should only be used after assessing the benefit/risk balance.

⚠️ Do not use in pregnant cats.
Overdose:
Diarrhea or vomiting may occasionally occur with an overdose. A three-fold increase in the dose does not affect the general health of dogs, while cats may experience transient diarrhoea or vomiting, which disappears spontaneously within a short time.
