🚑 Prevention and treatment of dogs with tapeworm invasions - Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp., Echinococcus spp., Mesocestoides spp.; roundworms - Ancylostoma caninum, Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina, Trichuris vulpis, Thelazia callipaeda; Angiostrongylus vasorum (reduces the intensity of infection), Crenosoma vulpis (reduces the intensity of infection), Dirofilaria immitis (disease prevention); including with combined roundworm invasions. The drug can be used to prevent heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis)
🟢 Dosage:
The drug is administered to dogs individually, once orally with food or squeezed onto the base of the tongue in the minimum therapeutic dose:
0.5 mg of milbemycin oxime + 5 mg of praziquantel - per 1 kg of body weight.
One tablet (12.5 mg - milbemycin oxime + 125 mg of praziquantel) - per 10-25 kg of dog weight.
It is not necessary to follow a diet or special feeding regimen.
In the case of deworming dogs with Angiostrongylus vasorum invasion, the drug is used for therapeutic purposes four times with an interval of 7 days; for prophylactic purposes - once every 4 weeks in a therapeutic dose.
In the case of deworming dogs with infestation caused by Thelazia callipaeda, the drug is used twice with an interval of 7 days.
To prevent heartworm disease, the drug is used monthly in the spring-summer-autumn period, starting one month before the appearance of mosquitoes and gnats and ending one month after they disappear. Before deworming, consult a veterinarian to exclude the presence of microdirofilariae in the blood of animals.
⚠️ Contraindication:
Significant renal and hepatic dysfunction!
Do not use in puppies under 2 weeks of age and/or weighing less than 0.5 kg!
Do not use in exhausted animals and those sick with infectious diseases!
⚠️ Precautions during use:
Deworming animals during pregnancy and lactation is carried out under the supervision of a veterinarian.
Treatment of dogs with a large number of circulating microdirofilariae (Dirofilaria immitis) may lead to adverse reactions (pale mucous membranes, vomiting, muscle tremors, difficulty breathing or excessive salivation).
Treatment of microfilaraemia in dogs (presence of larvae in the blood) with the drug is not recommended.
🟢 PROVECTRA for dogs is a combination drug with a broad spectrum of anthelmintic action.
Active ingredients: milbemycin oxime and praziquantel.
Round, biconvex tablets of yellowish-white color with brown spots.

🔹 Milbemycin oxime is a macrocyclic lactone obtained by fermentation of Streptomyces hygroscopicus, type Aureolacrimosus, acting on larvae and adults of roundworms parasitizing in the digestive tract of dogs, as well as on larvae of the roundworm Dirofilaria immitis (microdirofilaria).
🔹 Praziquantel is an acylated derivative of pyrazinizoquinoline. Praziquantel is active against tapeworms and flukes.
The drug is stored at a temperature of 15 to 25°C.
Shelf life - up to 3 years
