🚑 Proveravet is used in female and male dogs and cats:
🔹 females and cats to delay and interrupt estrus;
🔹 for cats and males - to limit sexual activity and correct undesirable behaviors (marking territory with urine, intraspecific aggression, increased excitability).
🔹 The drug also prevents the occurrence of symptoms of false pregnancy and lactation.
METHOD OF USE AND DOSAGE:
Proveravet is used orally, by force on the root of the tongue or with a small amount of food 1-2 hours before the main feeding of the animal in doses:
🟣 Female cats:
🔹 prevention of estrus - 1 tablet 1 time per week, use the drug during the period when it is desirable to delay estrus. After discontinuation of the drug, hunting occurs after about 2 weeks. The drug should not be used for more than 18 months.

🔹 to stop estrus - 1 tablet once a day for 3-5 days until the symptoms of estrus disappear, no later than the 3rd day after the onset of estrus, then 1 tablet once a week. It is impossible to interrupt estrus more than 2 times a year.

🟢Boy cats:
🔹 when signs of sexual arousal appear to calm and correct undesirable behavior (marking the territory with urine, intraspecific aggression, increased excitability) - 1 tablet once a day for 8 days, then 1 tablet - once a week.

🟣Dogs bitches:
🔹 to prevent estrus - 1 tablet per 10 kg of animal body weight once a day for 7-15 days before the cessation of estrus, after discontinuation of the drug, hunting occurs after a few days; the drug cannot be used continuously for more than 32 days;
🔹 to stop estrus - 1 tablet per 10 kg of body weight once a day for the first 3 days, then 2 tablets per 10 kg of body weight once a day for 7 days until the symptoms of estrus disappear, no later than the third day after the onset of estrus. After discontinuation of the drug, estrus usually begins after 4-9 months. It is not recommended to use the drug more often than 2 courses a year.
🟢Dogs:
🔹 when symptoms of sexual arousal appear, in order to calm down and correct undesirable behavior (marking the territory with urine, intra-species aggression, increased excitability) - 4 tablets per 10 kg of the animal's body weight per day for 8 days, then 2 tablets per 10 kg of the animal's body weight per day for 8 days.
⚠ CONTRAINDICATIONS:
The drug is not used in animals during pregnancy and lactation, as well as false pregnancy and lactation!
The drug is not used in diseases of the genitourinary and hormonal systems, irregularities in the sexual cycle, mammary gland tumors in immature animals (before the first heat)!
⚠ The drug is not used if more than 2 days have passed since the beginning of heat!
WARNINGS:
With long-term use, changes in the sexual cycle, enlargement of the mammary glands, excessive appetite and weight gain are possible.
The preparation should be used under the supervision of a veterinarian, especially in greyhounds.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES:
ATCvet QG, veterinary drugs affecting the urogenital system and sex hormones (hormonal contraceptives QG03A for systemic use)
The active substance of the drug is medroxyprogesterone acetate - a synthetic progestin, an analogue of progestogens produced by the corpus luteum. The action is based on the transformation of proliferative endometrium into secretory, increases hypertrophy of the myometrium and inhibits uterine contractions. Depending on the dose, it inhibits the secretion of pituitary gonadotropins, has an antiinsulin effect. In animals, medroxyprogesterone acetate has a pronounced effect on the adrenal cortex and inhibits the release of adrenocorticotropic hormone and cortisol.
Medroxyprogesterone has an antiestrogenic effect and lowers the level of testosterone in the blood plasma of men.
