Composition and release form:
Sinulox RTU is a sterile oily suspension for injection of light cream color, containing in 1 ml as active ingredients 140 mg of amoxicillin in the form of amoxicillin trihydrate and 35 mg of clavulanic acid in the form of calcium clavulanate.
Produced in glass bottles of 100 ml.
Pharmacological properties: Sinulox RTU has a broad spectrum of bactericidal activity against most gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, including strains producing b-lactamase: Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Corynebacterium spp., Clostridium spp., Bacillus anthracis, Actinomyces bovis, Peptostreptococcus spp., Esсherichia coli, Salmonella, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Campilobacter spp., Klebsiella, Proteus spp., Pasteurella, Fusobacterium necrophorum, Bacteroides, Haemophilus spp., Moraxella spp., Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae and Actinobacillus ligneresi. Resistance to b-lactam antibacterial drugs is usually due to the ability of microorganisms to produce b-lactamase, an enzyme that destroys the b-lactam ring of the antibiotic before it can act on the bacterial cell. Clavulanic acid, which is part of Sinulox RTU, inactivates b-lactamase and thereby restores the sensitivity of bacteria to the bactericidal action of amoxicillin in concentrations that are easily achieved in animal tissues after administration of the drug.
Indications
Prescribed for cattle, pigs, dogs and cats for the treatment of bacterial infections of the respiratory tract, gastrointestinal tract, genitourinary system, soft tissues and skin.
Dosage and administration
Sinulox RTU injection suspension is administered to cattle and pigs only intramuscularly, to dogs and cats - intramuscularly or subcutaneously at a rate of 8.75 mg per 1 kg of animal weight, which is equivalent to 1 ml of the drug per 20 kg of animal weight, 1 time per day for 3 - 5 days. Before each use, the contents of the vial are thoroughly shaken until a homogeneous suspension is obtained. Only dry syringes and needles are used to administer the drug. It is recommended to lightly massage the injection site after administering Sinulox RTU. The dose of Sinulox in tablet form: 12.5 mg per 1 kg of weight, 2 times a day, for 5 - 7 days.
