Composition
1 ml of the drug contains the active substance: pradofloxacin - 25 mg.
Application
Treatment of cats with acute upper respiratory tract infections caused by microorganisms (Pasteurella multocida, Escherichia coli and the Staphylococcus intermedius group (S. pseudintermedius inclusive) sensitive to pradofloxacin, as well as wound and abscess infections caused by microorganisms (Pasteurella multocida and Staphylococcus intermedius (S. рseudintermedius inclusive) sensitive to pradofloxacin.
Dosage
Orally at the recommended dose of 5 mg pradofloxacin per 1 kg of body weight of the animal per day. In accordance with the graduated marks on the dispenser (with which the volume of the drug is set). To ensure the appropriate dosage, the animal must first be weighed. The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the infection and the effectiveness of the treatment.
For most infections, the following duration of treatment is recommended:
- Abscess or wound infection - 7 days
- Acute upper respiratory tract infections - 5 days
If clinical symptoms of the disease do not disappear after three days, change the treatment.
How to use
- Shake the bottle well before use
- Take the required dose into the dispenser
- Administer the drug directly to the root of the animal's tongue
Do not use one dispenser for different animals to avoid infection. After use, rinse the dispenser with water and store in a cardboard box with the bottle of the drug.
Contraindications
Do not use in kittens under 6 weeks old.
Do not use in animals with damaged cartilage tissue, as well as with disorders of the central nervous system.
Do not use during pregnancy and lactation.
Do not use simultaneously with theophylline and digoxin.
Do not use simultaneously with antacids, multivitamins, dairy products, drugs containing cations Al3+ (sucralfate), Ca2+, Mg2+, since this interferes with the absorption of pradofloxacin.
Do not use in combination with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in animals that have seizures.
