Description
Oily, transparent yellow liquid.

Composition
1 ml of the preparation contains the active substance: estradiol benzoate 0.2 mg.

Excipients: peanut oil.

Pharmacological properties
Estradiol benzoate is a steroid hormone that regulates the development and activity of the reproductive system of females. The effectiveness of the drug is due to the interaction with receptors of the cells of the central nervous system, endocrine and genital organs. With an increase in the concentration of estradiol in the blood, estrus is stimulated, and its increased concentration makes fertilization of the egg impossible. Estradiol is hydrolyzed and inactivated by plasma esterases and liver enzymes, after which the metabolites are excreted in the bile. The half-life from the body is 60 minutes.

Indications for use
To prevent unwanted pregnancy in bitches after accidental mating.

Method of administration and dosage
The drug is administered subcutaneously or intramuscularly once at a dose of 0.5 ml of the drug per 10 kg of body weight (0.1 mg of estradiol benzoate per 10 kg of body weight of the animal) on the 3rd and 5th day after unplanned mating (considering the day of mating as day zero). If the bitch has been mated several times or the time of mating is unknown, the drug is administered three times - on the 3rd, 5th and 7th day.

Contraindications
Do not use in cats.

Do not use in animals during pregnancy and lactation, as well as in case of diseases of the genital organs (pyometritis, metritis, endometritis) caused by hormonal disorders or inflammatory processes; in case of tumors of the mammary glands.

Caution
Before use, to reduce the viscosity of the drug after storing it at low temperatures, warm the bottle in your hand.

Release form
Glass bottles of 2, 5 or 20 ml, closed with a rubber stopper under an aluminum rim, placed in a cardboard box.

Storage conditions
A dry, dark place inaccessible to children at a temperature of 5°C to 25°C.

Shelf life is 2 years. After the first withdrawal from the bottle, use the drug within 30 days, provided that it is stored in a dark place at a temperature of 2°C to 8°C.
