🚑 For long-term prevention or termination of estrus in cats and bitches and prevention of unwanted pregnancy; treatment of false pregnancy and pseudolactation in bitches; treatment of nymphomania in cats.
Dosage:
The drug is administered once subcutaneously in the withers or intramuscularly in the thigh in doses:
🔹 for the treatment of false pregnancy and pseudolactation: bitches weighing up to 10 kg - 0.5 ml of the drug, from 10 to 20 kg - 1 ml, over 40 kg - 3 ml.
🔹 preventing the appearance of heat - 5-10 days before its appearance, interrupting it - within 1-2 days after the first symptoms appear (change in behavior, beginning of mucous discharge mixed with blood, attractiveness to people of the opposite sex):
- female dogs weighing 2-5 kg ​​​​― 1-1.5 ml of the preparation; 5-10 kg - 1.5-2 ml; 10-20 kg - 2-3 ml; 20-30 kg - 3-4 ml; 30-40 kg - 4-5 ml; over 40 kg - 5-6 ml;
- cats weighing up to 3 kg - 0.5 ml of the drug, over 3 kg - 1-2 ml.

🔹 in the treatment of nymphomania in cats - 0.5-1 ml of the drug.
For one-time prevention of estrus, the drug is administered once to bitches no later than one month before the probable estrus, and to cats - immediately after the next estrus.

For long-term prevention of estrus, the drug is administered 5-10 days before the onset of estrus, repeated in bitches after 5-6 months, in cats - after 4-6 months. In the event that female dogs who have been given the drug show signs of sexual arousal, it is necessary to perform an extraordinary injection of the drug.

In the case of Siamese cats, the dosage of the drug is determined individually by the veterinarian.
Before use, shake the contents of the vial thoroughly until a homogeneous suspension is obtained.

Excipients: methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, sodium chloride, polysorbate 80, polyethylene oxide 1500, water for injection.
Pharmacological properties
Medroxyprogesterone acetate is a synthetic progestogen that acts longer than natural progesterone. Medroxyprogesterone acetate affects the hypothalamic-pituitary system, blocking the secretion of gonadotropic hormones (FSH and LH) from the pituitary gland. A decrease in the level of gonadotropic hormones in the blood leads to a violation of folliculogenesis in women, as a result of which ovulation of the follicle is inhibited and fertilization does not occur.
⚠ Contraindication:
Diseases of the genital organs (metritis, endometritis, endometritis, etc.), urinary system organs.
Keeping bitches and cats for the purpose of obtaining offspring.
Mammary tumors, treatment with other estrogens and progestogens.
Sexual immaturity.
Pregnancy, lactation and estrus.
Increased sensitivity to the drug.
⚠ Precautions when using:
Do not use in animals before the first estrus.
Do not administer the drug in the postoperative period.
Not recommended for greyhound bitches.

In some cases, the inhibition of estrus may be permanent.

Female female dogs and cats may retain the ability to fertilize for 10 days after administration of the drug.

After discontinuing the drug, it is recommended to mate the animals after the second estrus.

Storage:
A dry, dark place inaccessible to children at a temperature of 5° to 25°C.
The expiry date is 2 years. After the first withdrawal from the bottle, the drug should be used within 10 days provided that it is stored in a dark place at a temperature of up to 8°C.
