🚑 Only for female cats and dogs: for long-term prevention or interruption of estrus in female cats and dogs, prevention of unwanted pregnancy, treatment of false pregnancy and pseudolactation, treatment of nymphomania in female cats.
🟢 METHOD OF USE AND DOSAGE:
The drug is administered once subcutaneously in the withers area or intramuscularly in the thigh area in doses:
🔹 in the treatment of false pregnancy and pseudolactation:
- females weighing up to 10 kg - 1.0 ml of the drug;
- females from 10 to 20 kg - 2.0 ml;
- females over 40 kg - 6.0 ml.
🔹 To prevent the onset of estrus - 5-10 days before its appearance, to interrupt it - within 1-2 days after the first symptoms appear (change in behavior, the beginning of mucous discharge mixed with blood, attractiveness to opposite sex):
- females weighing 2-5 kg ​​​​- 2.0-3.0 ml of the drug;
- females 5-10 kg - 3.0-4.0 ml;
- females 10-20 kg - 4.0-6.0 ml;
- females 20-30 kg - 6.0-8.0 ml;
- females 30-40 kg - 8.0-10.0 ml;
- females over 40 kg - 10.0-12.0 ml;
- females up to 3 kg - 1.0 ml of the drug;
- females over 3 kg - 2.0-4.0 ml.
🔹 In the treatment of nymphomania in cats - 1.0-2.0 ml of the drug
🔹 For long-term prevention of estrus, the drug is administered 5-10 days before the onset of estrus, in female dogs it is repeated after 5-6 months, in female cats - after 4-6 months. If the females injected with the drug show signs of sexual arousal, it is necessary to perform an extraordinary injection of the drug.
🔹 In the case of Siamese cats, the dosage of the drug is determined individually by the veterinarian.

Before use, shake the contents of the bottle thoroughly until a homogeneous suspension is obtained.

⚠️ CONTRAINDICATIONS:
-The drug should not be used during pregnancy, false pregnancy and lactation, diseases of the genitourinary and hormonal systems, disorders of the reproductive cycle, mammary tumors and in immature animals (before the first estrus).
-It is not recommended to use the drug if more than 3 days have passed since the onset of estrus.
-The drug should not be used in pregnant or lactating animals.

-Hypersensitivity to the drug.

⚠️ WARNINGS:
-The drug is used only in female cats and dogs (bitches and kittens).

-Do not use in animals before the first heat.

-Do not administer the drug in the postoperative period.

-It is not recommended to use it in female greyhounds.

-In some cases, the suppression of heat may be permanent.

-In females, after administration of the drug, the ability to fertilize may persist for 10 days.

-After discontinuing the drug, it is recommended to mate animals after the second heat.

🟡 COMPOSITION OF THE DRUG:
1 ml of the drug contains the active substance:
medroxyprogesterone acetate - 25.0 mg.

Excipients: benzyl alcohol, cottonseed oil.

🟡 PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES:
ATCVET QG03A, hormonal contraceptives for systemic use.
The active substance of the drug is medroxyprogesterone acetate - a synthetic progestin, an analogue of progestins produced by the corpus luteum. The action is based on the transformation of the proliferative endometrium into a secretory one, increases the hypertrophy of the myometrium and inhibits uterine contractions. Depending on the dose, it inhibits the secretion of pituitary gonadotropins and has an anti-insulin effect. In animals, medroxyprogesterone acetate has a pronounced effect on the adrenal cortex and may inhibit the release of adrenocorticotropic hormone and cortisol. Medroxyprogesterone has an antiestrogenic effect and may reduce the concentration of testosterone in blood plasma in men.

After the first extraction of the solution from the bottle, the drug should be used within 10 days, provided it is stored in a dark place at a temperature of up to 8°C.
